Present at SRS 2024

• Eligibility:

  1. Students completing a Capstone Research Project.

     OR

  2. Students who have completed an Outstanding Research Project in a 4th year course (must be nominated by instructor).

• Applying:  

  To present at the Eighth annual Student Research Symposium, complete the Presenter Application Form. Application deadline: Friday, March 15, 2024   

• Abstract format:  

  1. Objective or Purpose of the research and inquiry.

  2. Perspective(s), methodologies or theoretical framework used in the research and inquiry.

  3. Anticipated findings results and/or substantiated conclusions or warrants for arguments/point of view.

  4. Anticipated scientific or scholarly, and/or artistic significance of the study or work.

• Review of applications: 

  In early April, the applications will be reviewed to determine the composition of the student panels. Each panel will have three presenters. The individual presentations will be 10-15 minutes in length with approximately 15 minutes for questions after all three presenters have finished their talks. Visual aids – e.g. PowerPoints or Prezis – are encouraged but not required.

• Sharing your paper after the event:

  Consider submitting your research paper to Capilano University’s institutional repository so that it can be read by students, faculty, and researchers in the Capilano University community and beyond
